Movement That Matters
When you have arthritis, the worst thing that you can do is to not move. Movement helps the joints losen and for swelling to cease in the joints. It is often most challenging just to get out of bed, but do it. Walk around your neighborhood, go swimming with friends or bike at the gym. Do something that can keep you active and hault your arthritis in its tracks.
Over the years I have tried to stay active within the arthritis communities and volunteer for different programs when I can. One of my largest contributions was to the Arthritis Foundation's annual walk. I prepared a team of friends and family to walk and battle arthritis. Together we raised over $2,500 dollars. It is a great way to get involved and maintain a powerful impact in the lives of people with arthritis. Always stay involved, always keep moving, and keep volunteering.
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.
